Our Story
From Local Beginnings to European Scale
Family Roots & Founding Vision
Founded in 1997 by Martin and Patricia Mee in rural County Meath, MTM Engineering began as a cable installation business. Through vision, resilience, and a combination of organic growth and strategic acquisitions, we’ve evolved into a second-generation family business led by CEO Brendan Mee – and a leading provider of the critical path in power and communication services for some of Europe’s most demanding mission-critical projects.

A Specialist in
Data Centre Delivery
We specialise in the data centre sector, where HSEQ, precision, scale, and reliability are non-negotiable. This focus has positioned us as trusted partners to global leaders in digital infrastructure – and provided a strong foundation for delivering in other technically demanding sectors such as pharmaceuticals, renewables, power generation, and critical infrastructure.
Strategic Acquisitions to Strengthen & Expand
As part of our continued growth strategy, we’ve expanded our capabilities and market reach through the acquisitions of Leo Larkin Electrical, CET Connect, ATSS Ventures, and T.A. Ronan. These businesses have strengthened our global reach and service offering, with CET Connect and T.A. Ronan continuing to thrive and grow within their specialist markets.

A Partnership for Global Growth
In 2022, we partnered with Waterland Private Equity Ireland – a strategic move that accelerates our ambition to scale globally and reinforces our commitment to delivering excellence on a broader stage.
Our Evolving Footprint
Today & Beyond
Today, we employ over 1,100 people and have successfully delivered projects in over 16 countries, and 4 continents. Our international footprint continues to scale across the data centre industry, while also completing works in pharmaceuticals, renewables, power generation, and critical infrastructure sectors.
At MTM Engineering, we focus on delivering reliable, high-quality solutions that meet the demands of mission-critical infrastructure projects. As demand for high-performance facilities continues to grow, we remain focused on delivering with certainty, leading with integrity, and evolving with purpose. Our commitment is to support critical infrastructure both now and going forward.
