MTM Engineering acquires CET Connect,
a leading provider of Structured Cabling and Fibre Optic Services.

MTM Engineering is pleased to announce the acquisition of CET Connect, a leading provider of structured cabling, IT Network infrastructure and fibre optic services.
Established in 1999, and currently employing in excess of 100 direct people, CET has offices in Ireland (Clonmel and Dublin), the UK, France, Germany, and Sweden. With a primary focus on Structured Cabling, IT Network Infrastructure, and Fibre Optic Service, CET supports an excellent client base in a variety of IT infrastructure projects across diverse sectors including Data Centres, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, and Commercial.
Both CET’s and MTM’s vision and values are aligned in our approach to our people, our customers and our company. With this acquisition, it brings our team to over 650 directly employed and dedicated staff. The ongoing investment and support from our partners Waterland has enabled us to complete this acquisition to expand our offering for our customers and deliver a wider range of market leading quality services on our projects.
Welcoming the announcement, Brendan Mee, Managing Director of MTM Engineering, said: “CET Connect is a great business supported by a team of excellent people. MTM Engineering has been named as one of Ireland’s Best Managed Companies. The awards programme is led by Deloitte Ireland, in association with Bank of Ireland. Ireland’s Best Managed Companies Awards programme promotes and recognises excellence in Irish/Northern Irish owned and managed companies and is the only awards scheme on the island of Ireland that considers a business’ performance from every perspective. Entrants to the programme compete for the designation in a rigorous process that evaluates the calibre of their management abilities and practices in addition to the strategy, capability, innovation, culture and financial performance of their companies.
This is the first year where the awards programme returned as an in-person event following the pandemic and culminated with a gala awards ceremony at The Convention Centre Dublin.
Nine new businesses have been awarded Ireland’s Best Managed Companies accolade this year at the 14th annual awards programme and MTM Engineering were one of them. We are proud to be recognised as a new winner of Ireland’s Best Managed Companies 2022 and we want to say a big thank you and well done to all the MTM team, their dedication and commitment over the last 25 years has made this prestigious award possible.

Future of MTM with New Partners Waterland

MTM Engineering announces new partnership with Waterland Private Equity. Brendan Mee, CEO made the announcement saying "We are delighted to announce that we have partnered with Waterland Private Equity, headed by Laura Dillion, Principal and Donal Mac Nioclais, Investment Director, based in Ireland and headquartered in the Netherlands.
We chose Laura, Donal and the team as our partner as they understand family companies and what our culture, commitment, ethos and family values mean to us as a company within MTM. Over the past number of years we have grown our business and our people, expanded into new regions and delivered to the highest standard synonymous with MTM to our customer base. Our focus of safety, quality and commitment to our customers has been our guiding principles and a foundation on which we have built MTM Engineering. Our goal is to continue this ambition and to innovate and expand to meet your current and future needs.
I am very proud of what we have achieved over the past 25 years of business - together we have built our company into the market leader across Europe in cable installation. None of this would be possible without the continued support from our valued clients.

MTM Acquires Leo Larkin Electrical

In April 2022 MTM Engineering announced the acquisition of Leo Larkin Electrical.
We would like to welcome Derek, Gary, and the team to MTM Engineering. Leo Larkin Electrical was established in 1985 and has an exemplary track record within the electrical industry for MV Delivery.
We are delighted to formalise this long-standing relationship through this acquisition and we are looking forward to bringing our customers turnkey MV delivery as part of our business offering.
