Payroll Processing: Support Financial Controller to process fortnightly payroll, ensuring accuracy and maintain financial controls. Working closely with Payroll Manager to maintain a streamlined payroll process

Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the accounts payable specialist, providing guidance and support

Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy in invoice processing and payment procedures

Invoice Verification: Oversee the review and approval of invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Vendor Relations: Gain understanding of vendor management, including Service Level Agreements etc. Maintain positive relationships with vendors, addressing inquiries and resolving disputes as needed

Reporting: Prepare and present reports on accounts payable metrics, such as payment cycles and outstanding invoices

Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations and internal controls

Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g. finance control and procurement) to align on processes and address issues
