Electrical Tester

MTM Engineering has an opportunity for an experienced Electrical Tester to join our rapidly expanding team in Frankfurt

The Role...

As an Electrical QC Tester, you are responsible for, conducting pre-test inspections, and compiling defect reports. You will notify the Project Manager of hazards, test low voltage installations, and issue reports. Your responsibilities include verifying drawings, updating cable schedules, completing test records, assisting with torquing cables, and closing out project issues.

Responsibilities...
  • Carry out Pre-Test Inspections (walk-down the field installation of each system term to term) on site and compile defect reports on compliance with national electrical regulations

  • Notify Project Manager and QC lead on the project of any non-conformances or hazards on site.

  • Carry out testing of Low Voltage (LV) installations as required by national governing bodies.

  • Verification of Redlined Drawings for the LV Installation that is being tested.

  • Update cable schedules, for changes made.

  • Complete Test Record Sheets as per International Standards/Client Requirement.

  • Assist in torquing of LV cables once tested.

  • Assist close-out of project issues / investigations / queries.

The Person...
  • Electrical Trade Background and/or a Third Level qualification

  • Testing & Verification Course Completed

  • Technical Knowledge and experience of Low Voltage systems and regulatory requirements including International Standards

  • Ability to read detailed electrical drawings and cable schedules.

  • Ability to fault find/diagnose issues on installations while testing
