MTM have an exciting new opportunity for an Electrical Quality Manager to join our growing team reporting to the HSEQ Director. This role will require travel across Ireland and mainland Europe to all active and future projects.

As an Electrical Quality Manager you will promote the core value of Quality across all current and future projects within Ireland and mainland Europe. The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience of construction on electrical projects including; project management controls, QA/QC, Inspection & Testing and system handover. 


Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Follow and promote the core values of MTM Quality throughout all projects. 

  • Implementation and maintenance of the MTM Quality Management ISO 9001:2015.

  • Understand and relay the quality requirements from the client to the project management teams.  

  • Preparation of project specific QA Plans

  • Manage benchmarks to the standards of the project contract prior and during project delivery.

  • Consistently address all quality related issues to improve client relationships

  • Review Project documents, design drawings and specifications to maintain familiarity and ensure project teams have a full understanding of the requirements of all real & relevant documents.

  • Documenting findings and follow up actions in detailed audit reports

  • Promoting LEAN construction processes & tools, best practice and sharing lessons learned across all projects

  • Resolve all quality matters from the project management and project supervisor levels

  • Good document practice and technical reviews to ensure project deliverable requirements are being achieved.

  • Collating all quality records and coordinate handover to the client on time.

  • Provision of continuous QMS Training and Support

  • Ability to work independently and carry out QMS Audits and follow up reports on projects

  • Maintenance & upkeep of detailed records using Microsoft word and BIM 360 Field Software

  • Enforce Company policies, understand internal company policies and how they should be applied

  • Employee engagement, interaction, training, upskilling, coaching & mentoring

  • Team and Performance development - Coordinate performance reviews as well as day to day management of the Quality team. 

  • All other duties associated with this role.


Essential Criteria

  • At least 3 years within a quality-based role on large scale projects.

  • Hold a recognised qualification in electrical engineering or a time served electrician with 5 plus years of field experience on large projects.

  • Hold relevant Health & Safety requirements.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical design drawings, specifications, regulations, and codes.

  • Working knowledge of electrical components and systems.

  • Knowledge of regulatory standards e.g. BS7671, ET101, EN IS 50110-1:2013.

  • Ability to carry out QA Audits and follow up reports on Projects

  • Excellent Microsoft Office and communication skills

  • Previous experience of quality Management Systems e.g. ISO 9001

  • Data Centre/Pharma experience/knowledge.

  • Ability to understand & interpret Project Specifications, Drawings, SLD’s, Cable Solutions and Data Sheets.
