MTM Engineering has an exciting opportunity for a Project Planner to join our Team on a major project in Milan, Italy.

MTM Engineering was established in 1997 and is an Electrical Engineering company that specialises in MV & LV electrical cable installation, termination services, and containment solutions for a wide range of construction projects. Our expertise spans across industries such as Data Centres and Pharmaceutical throughout Europe and beyond.

The Role… 

As Project Planner, you will be responsible for overseeing the project through to completion. The role will be crucial to developing, improving and monitoring project schedules.

 

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

• Responsible for creating and managing project schedules, resource allocation, and timelines to ensure completion of project on time and within budget.

• Recommend modifications to improve effectiveness and achieve project milestones.

• Prepare short and long term resource allocation plans based on input from key stakeholders.

• Regular site visits/walks to assist site teams with planning matters.

• Identify potential risks, deviations that can hinder project schedule, resulting in delays with significant costs and penalties and corrective actions.

• Gather data incorporating any changes in work scope, update schedule and develop reliable schedule forecast with support from project team.

• Provide regular progress reports to all site teams and highlight concerns, develop mitigating measures to avoid delays.

• Host progress planning meetings.

Essential Criteria... 

• ​3rd level qualification in Electrical or Mechanical.

• Experience in scheduling large, complex industrial, capital improvement projects managing teams of schedulers.

• Experience working on Data Centre projects.

• Excellent IT skills and relevant knowledge of Planning software including MS Project, and other planning software.

• Ability to communicate at high level and represent the company in client and contractor meetings.
