MTM Engineering has an exciting opportunity for a Procurement & Logistics Manager to join our Team on a major project in Milan, Italy.

Our expertise spans across industries such as Data Centres and Pharmaceutical throughout Europe and beyond.

The Role… 

As Procurement & Logistics Manager, you will be responsible and accountable for the processes involved in managing all incoming and outgoing plant, tools and materials required for project operations. The role will be crucial to successful delivery of services, identifying requirements, forecast planning, procurement execution, supply chain and inventory management, distribution and delivery.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

• ​Manage the transportation and distribution of materials, tools and plant equipment organising adequate, safe, and efficient storage.

• Plan and implement logistics strategy.

• Use company software and application to track and monitor materials.

• Liaise with suppliers and logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials for the project site.

• Manage inventory levels and oversee procurement to meet project needs while controlling costs.

• Work closely with all functions to plan and establish delivery schedules based on operational needs, ensuring that deliveries arrive to site on time and in good working order, taking into consideration any challenges that may arise, such as Health & Safety and storage space.

• Collaborate with Project Manager and Project Planner to synchronise movements to suit project schedules.

• Ensure compliance with local regulations and safety standards.

• Make recommendations for improvements in processes where necessary.

• Provide management and finance department with detailed reports on request.

Essential Criteria... 

​3rd Level qualification and/or substantial relevant experience
Advanced computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes
Excellent problem solving capacity with strong attention to detail
Excellent cross functional communication skills
Good initiative with an ability to work independently
