MTM Engineering has an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, and ambitious HR Administrator to join our growing team in Slane.

MTM Engineering specialises in MV and LV electrical cable installation and terminating services for Data Centre and Pharmaceutical Industries across Europe and beyond.

The Role...

As an HR Administrator you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resources function, assisting with the implementation of HR policies, procedures, and processes. The role will involve handling day-to-day HR tasks, maintaining employee records, and facilitating communication between employees and HR.


Key Tasks & Responsibilities...

  • ​Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, manage all HR documents and files

  • Assist in the recruitment process by coordinating job postings, conducting initial candidate screenings, scheduling interviews, conduct reference checks, and prepare employment contracts

  • Support the onboarding process for new hires

  • Handle employee letter requests, including salary certifications, forms, and reference letters

  • Generate reports related to attendance and annual leave balances, highlight any issues

  • Assist with implementation of HR policies and procedures

  • Assist with employee disciplinary & grievance matters

  • Address basic employee queries and concerns

  • Escalate more complex issues to HR Manager as needed

  • Communicate HR policies to employees

  • Support HR function to ensure compliance with employment law and regulations across multiple jurisdictions

  • Generate HR reports for management as required

  • Provide general administrative support to the HR function


Essential Qualifications and Key Criteria...

  • ​3rd level qualification in Human Resources

  •  CIPD qualified or be working towards would be advantageous

  • 1 - 2 years' previous experience in HR administration 

  • Ability to maintain a professional attitude with a high degree of integrity and discretion in handling confidential matters

  • Interact professionally with staff at all levels of the organisation, both verbally and in writing

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Ability to multitask with strong organisational and time-management skills

  • Excellent attention to detail
