MTM Engineering has a position available for an EHS Advisor within Malmo, Sweden.

 

As an EHS Advisor you will oversee the project assisting the project team and implement and maintain company management systems for the project duration. The successful EHS Advisor will coordinate all EHS matters and report any issues directly to the Project Manager and EHS Manager.

 

Your role as an EHS Advisor

• Ensure MTM EHS management systems is implemented and maintained for the project.

• Coordination in the development of task specific method statements, risk assessments, safe plan of action, permit to work with the MTM team on site and main contractor.

• Compliance with the project safety statement and site safety plan.

• Coordination of project safety indicators.

• Good Safety Practices are managed & maintained. 

• Provide advice and training in all EHS matters to management, safety representatives and team members in line with MTM in house training and monitoring system.

• Provide leadership and coordination of the day-to-day EHS requirements of the projects and promote a positive safety culture.

• Attend and provide input at site meetings, report on work scope EHS risks, trends and recommend constructive actions towards continuous improvements.

• Carry out digital audits, inspections & incident investigation reports, establish corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence and continuous improvements with site team engagement.

• Develop and complete site-specific Toolbox Talks on site aligned with site audits and EHS findings to help promote a positive safety culture and high level of compliance.

• Manage and update weekly documentation within the project cloud safety folder, (GA2, GA3, SPA’s, RAMS Sign off’s, Safety Statement Sign Off’s, Inductions, PPE Records, Site Audits, TBT’s etc.) 

• Collaborate with the wider MTM EHS Team on a monthly basis chaired by the MTM EHS Manager for continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across existing projects to help further improve a positive safety culture on projects.

 

Your Qualifications and Key Criteria

• Relevant third level Certificate qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety. Minimum Cert to NVQ 6 in Occupational H&S.

• Thorough knowledge of current environmental, health and safety legislation.

• Flexibility in working patterns where necessary.

• Ability to efficiently manage all environmental, health and safety issues on site.

• Strong communication & computer skills.

• Ability to work on own initiative and possess strong interpersonal and communications skills.

• Previous site experience 3 years minimum.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Package.

 

Remuneration

• Remuneration will be in line with qualifications and experience and three in one rotation. (Three weeks on, one week off)
