MTM Engineering specialises in MV and LV electrical cable installation and terminating services for Data Centre and Pharmaceutical Industries across Europe and beyond.

 

The Role...

As an Apprentice Electrical Engineer at MTM Engineering, you'll engage in the forefront of the latest technology data centre projects spanning Ireland, the UK, and Europe. Your responsibilities will encompass reviewing project technical specifications and drawings, selecting cable installation accessories, and contributing to the preparation of technical submittals. Reviewing construction drawings and BIM Models, generating Requests For Information (RFI), and liaising with clients and the wider MTM Engineering team to find innovative solutions. This apprenticeship offers hands-on experience, propelling your growth in the dynamic field of electrical engineering.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities...

• ​Involved in the latest technology data centre construction projects in Ireland, the UK and across Europe.

• Reviewing project technical specifications and drawings to understand the operational requirements of MTM Engineering projects.

• Selection of suitable cable installation accessories required for cable installation and preparing technical submittals for approval by the client.

• Reviewing construction drawings and BIM Models to understand and define electrical routings required on site.

• Generation of Requests For Information (RFI) to client to seek clarity on specification requirements.

• Liaising with clients, suppliers and the wider MTM Engineering team to obtain solutions to issues as they arise.

• Periodic site visits to review site progress and discuss any changes required with other MTM Engineering team members.

• Organisation of workload to suit priorities as agreed with the MTM Engineering team.

• Completion of assigned tasks to agreed timelines.

• Specification and procurement of electrical equipment to match specifications provided by clients and suppliers.

• Participation in team discussions on any issues identified.

• Periodic site visits will require travelling to multiple European countries where MTM Engineering projects are ongoing.
   

Essential Qualifications...

• ​Minimum 56 UCAS points achieved through A Levels, or equivalent

• Minimum 15 points at GCSE, or equivalent. This must include a C grade in GCSE English language and a C grade in GCSE Maths, or equivalent

• Competent in written and spoken English Language
