The Role...

As an Apprentice BIM Engineer, your role will involve 3D modelling of building components and electrical containment. You will play a key part in generating construction and fabrication drawings to facilitate on-site operations. Conducting periodic site visits, your responsibilities will include tracking and resolving model clashes, as well as co-ordinating with client federated models. This apprenticeship provides a hands-on opportunity to develop your skills in BIM, gaining practical experience in the field of Building Information Modelling.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities...

• Your responsibilities will include: ​

• ​BIM modelling (3D modelling) of building components and electrical containment to support the containment and cable installation services within MTM Engineering.

• Generation of construction and fabrication drawings to aid with operations on site.

• Periodic site visits to review site progress and discuss any changes required with other MTM Engineering team members.

• Tracking of issues identified during modelling stages and involvement in resolving any model clashes detected.

• Coordination of models with client federated models and attendance at regular project BIM meetings. 

• Organisation of workload to suit priorities as agreed with the BIM team.

• Completion of assigned tasks to agreed timelines.

• Modelling of electrical equipment to match specifications provided by clients and suppliers.

• Participation in team discussions on BIM issues identified.

Opportunities...

• Opportunities will exist to grow and develop within MTM Engineering to further your career as BIM Coordinator where you will be the BIM lead the projects representing MTM Engineering to the client.

• Training courses will be provided where necessary to further develop your industry knowledge.

• Periodic site visits will require travelling to multiple European countries where MTM Engineering projects are ongoing.
   

Essential Qualifications...

• Minimum 48 UCAS points achieved through A Levels, or equivalent

• Minimum 15 points at GCSE, or equivalent. This must include a C grade in GCSE English language and a C grade in GCSE Maths, or equivalent

• Competent in written and spoken English Language
